Imperial has been owned and operated by the Gallinoto family since 1932. Joseph A. Gallinoto learned the trade in Florence, Italy in the early 1900's. Since then, passing the business down from generation to generation has been a family tradition. The business has come full circle. Since starting in West Hartford in 1932, it moved to the Farmington Valley for several decades, and now is back in West Hartford's Elmwood section.
